I first heard of Mufti Taqi Usmani from Mufti Yusuf Mullan - my Arabic teacher @ Shariah. He spoke very highly of him. And around the same time, I was taking Introduction to Quranic Sciences (with SunniPath). Sh Shohail recommended Mufti Taqi's book "An Approach to the Qur'anic Sciences"- I really liked the book. Since then, i've been reading his views, his books, listening to his lectures - whenever possible.
Last week, a friend referred me to a lecture by Mufti Taqi Usmani - it's on "bahas-o-mubahisa" (jazak Allah, my friend) Everyone must listen to it.
